Visa Invitation Letters

If you are visiting Czech Republic on a conference trip and are a citizen of a non-EU country, you may need a visa. You need an Invitation letter from the company for your visa to be issued. The requirements may differ from country to country. Please check what applies in your case.

Delegates have to apply for the Schengen visa, which means a short stay for all Schengen countries. The application for a Schengen visa is submitted in person at a relevant embassy of the Czech Republic.

The VISA invitation letter is available only for registered participants who have paid for the registration fee. The delegates who need an official Invitation letter can not pay the registration fee on site. The payment must be received in advance. The only option of sending the original letters remains the DHL delivery. Please note taht the DHL fee is not included in the conference fee.

An Invitation letter for Accompanying person will only be provided if this person has completed the congress registration and this registration has been fully paid.

Please present your application at least 2 months before the intended travel to have enough time to get your visa.

Do not forget to upload your passport number, your date of birth and date of arrival in ConfTool (Edit User Account Details)

If you need an Invitation letter, please send us a request by email to visa@iucr2020.org

Please note that a letter of invitation does not guarantee that your visa will be issued.
